About Captain Rob:

Captain Rob was born and raised in Clay County and has lived there his entire life. That is one of the reasons why he has a special connection with the St. John's River. He has been fascinated with this special fishery since he was a boy. The river has many unique features that sets it apart and the fishing is no different. He grew up bass fishing in Drs. Lake, bream fishing Black Creek and now chases 100 lb. tarpon in those same waters. When Captain Rob is not on the water he is a high school teacher, husband and father of 4 boys. He is a true "fishing fanatic"....whether studying charts, researching new strategies, fish habits...he is always striving to learn more. He also is the co-host of the North Florida Fishing and Outdoors podcast. No matter your skill level or experience on the water, he will work hard to ensure you have a great time and learn something new.
